Players were ‘well warned’ – OK
COLERAINE manager credited his side’s patience as they ran out 3-0 victors against Dungannon Swifts at Stangmore Park…
A finish from Matthew Shevlin in first-half stoppage gave the Bannsiders the lead, and despite never looking like conceding, the three points were finally secured when Eamon Fyfe scored his first goal for the club on 81 minutes before Shevlin added further gloss to the scoreline.
Kearney remarked that the Swifts had “a point to prove” after their 6-0 defeat to Glentoran but that his players had been “well warned” about what to expect from the hosts.
The boss also commented on Shevlin reaching 50 goals for the club and gave an injury update on both Conor McKendry and Conor McDermott.
Kearney discussed the upcoming Irish Cup tie against Cliftonville and whether or not there will be any business in the closing stages of the January transfer window.
