MATTHEW Shevlin spoke to Coleraine TV after netting twice in the 3-1 victory against Ballymena United yesterday afternoon…

After Will Patching broke the deadlock, the striker scored a goal in each half as the Bannsiders walked away with all three points.

Shevlin outlined the importance of bouncing back in the Premiership after losing out at Bangor last weekend, as well as discussing his two goals against his former side.

The fixture marked his 300th appearance in Irish League football and he is now just two goals away from scoring 100 for the Bannsiders.

Shevlin thanked the fans for their support, his assist for Patching’s opener and next weekend’s clash at home to Dungannon Swifts.
