Post-Match Press Conference

COLERAINE TV caught up with Oran Kearney, Lyndon Kane, Stephen Lowry and Jamie Glackin following the Bannsiders’ League Cup success…

The Stripes were successful in the competition for the first time since 1987 as James McLaughlin’s second-half strike separated the sides at Windsor Park.

Lowry admitted post-match that he was asked to be the spot-kick taker during the pre-match lunch and that he was delighted to complete his selection of medals in Irish League football.

Kearney acknowledged that the penalty changed the course of the game but that it was important that everyone involved with the club enjoys the occasion.

It would mark a special day for Kane, who celebrated his 23rd birthday, and he spoke about his extra motivation to do well for his home town club after missing the 2018 Irish Cup final through injury.

Glackin was also buoyed by his first winners’ medal for the club and he admits that he has an appetite for further success.
