DEAN Shiels spoke to Coleraine TV ahead of the Bannsiders’ home clash against Ballymena United on Boxing Day…

The head coach stated that the squad are looking forward to the occasion and that they are excited to be back in action for the first time since December 14.

Shiels also provided a squad update on several members of his squad – including attacking duo Matthew Shevlin and Jamie McGonigle – who both missed the defeat at Linfield last time out.

As a boyhood Coleraine fan, Shiels remarked the importance of the game for everyone involved at the club both on and off the pitch.
