RONAN Doherty says the Bannsiders will go into Saturday’s Irish Cup tie at Dungannon with “confidence” as the two teams do it all over again at Stangmore Park…

Dean Shiels’ men scored a last-gasp equaliser to secure a point against the same opposition last weekend, although they could have arguably bagged all three points with the chances created in County Tyrone.

Doherty says the players are positive and well-prepared for going into a clash that will be different this time around given the nature of a cup competition.

The 29-year-old commented on his time at the club so far since his move in the January transfer window and how his body is coping to the demands of full-time football.

Doherty, who won the Irish Cup with Cliftonville last season, is hoping to repeat that trick with the Bannsiders this time around.
