DEAN Jarvis said he is “proud” to be on the verge of another landmark as he closes in on 100 appearances for the club…

The L/Derry native will make his 100th appearance for the Bannsiders if he selected for Saturday’s clash away at Mourneview Park.

Speaking in a pre-match press conference before the game, Jarvis said the squad are “buzzing” to be through to the next round of the Irish Cup after last weekend’s 5-0 home victory against Armagh City.

The 32-year-old – who has played the majority of his games at left-back during his time at the club – has deputised at centre-back at times this season and remarked how he played that position when he was younger, as well as playing in midfield.

Coleraine have failed to beat Glenavon in their two games so far this season and Jarvis said they are eager to put that statistic right, although he recognised the upturn in recent results since Paddy McLaughlin took the reins.
