COLERAINE Women Reserves were narrowly beaten in an entertaining affair against Newhill Ladies last night…
The Bannsiders took an early lead through Norah McCullough’s effort.
However, Newhill Ladies netted two quick fire goals to then take the lead by the half hour mark.
In a competitive tussle, Newhill then extended their advantage on the stroke of half-time to make it 3-1 at the interval.
The Coleraine squad continued to fight and pulled one back when Alex Bachman-Williams’ superb free-kick found the back of the net.
Coleraine pushed forward to grab a share of the spoils and had several sights of goal to do so, but Newhill held firm to leave with all three points.
Another superb showing by a young Coleraine squad who are getting better with every game played.
A massive thank you once again to Carhill Media for taking pictures.
