Roesiders up next for Coleraine

COLERAINE continue their pre-season preparations with a trip over the mountain to face Limavady United (KO 3pm)…

The Bannsiders returned from their European commitments by defeating Portadown 3-2 last weekend after goals from Jamie McGonigle (2) and James McLaughlin in a high scoring first-half. After the break, the Stripes missed further chances to extend their lead but held on for the victory.

Coleraine met Paul Owens’ side in the Northern Ireland League Cup last season at The Showgrounds with goals from McLaughlin (2) and Darren McCauley. The Roesiders will have some familiar faces in their line-up with Johnny Watt and Glenn Law at the club.

Coleraine manager Oran Kearney will be without the services of Lyndon Kane, Gareth McConaghie, David Kee and James McLaughlin through injury. The latter was on the receiving end of a strong tackle in last weekend’s fixture against Portadown and is waiting to find out the extent of his injury.

Admission prices have been set for £6 adults, £4 concessions.

As ever, colerainefc.com will provide a match report from proceedings at the Limavady Showgrounds.
