Signing

Scott Signs

COLERAINE FC is thrilled to announce the capture of Andy Scott from Larne for an undisclosed fee…

The winger arrives on a two-and-a-half year deal to become our second signing of the January transfer window.

Scott, who hails from Castlederg, moved from Maiden City Academy to Accrington Stanley in 2018 and spent two years at The ‘Owd Reds – which included two loan spells at Stalybridge Celtic and Curzon Ashton.

However, the 22-year-old would return home in 2020 and signed for Larne, where he helped Tiernan Lynch’s side win two County Antrim Shields and qualify for Europe.

Speaking to colerainefc.com, boss Oran Kearney believes his latest recruit has all the qualities to be a success at The Showgrounds.

“When we lost Evan, we wanted to replace him with a player with similar qualities who has pace and can carry the ball which Andy can most certainly do,” he added.

“Andy has already impressed me any time we have played Larne and it was a deal I wanted to complete.

“Andy played a lot of football during 2021/22 but a change of shape at Larne has probably limited his game time this time around and he wants to go and play football.

“We are looking forward to working with him and getting him out on the pitch.”

The Club can confirm that Scott will wear the number 29 shirt.
