DEAN Shiels was full of praise for his Coleraine squad after they lifted the North West Senior Cup last night…

The Bannsiders were victorious in the competition for a record-extending 23rd time after goals from Sam McClintock (2) and Tiernan Brolly sealed a 3-2 win against Ballinamallard United at The Showgrounds.

Shiels was delighted with the performance of the young group after they recovered from a 2-1 deficit at the break, as well as commenting on the potential of Sam McClintock.

The head coach also discussed the other young players coming through the ranks and how he wants to adopt a “winning mentality” on the Ballycastle Road.
