A new screen has been installed in the corner between the Ballycastle Road Stand and the Shed End to provide supporters with the time, match updates, videos and other interactive content.

It marks the latest investment in the club’s redevelopment plans and colerainefc.com spoke to Commercial Manager, Clement Dealey, who was quick to thank those involved for making it happen.

“The Club can’t thank the Spirit of ‘74 Coleraine Supporters’ Club enough for their investment,” he said.

“They are a great bunch of lads who never hesitated in purchasing it and it will be known as ‘The Spirit of ‘74 Screen’.

“The screen will be operated in the meantime by the suppliers who have been fantastic and they will train us as to how it works, before we take control of it ourselves.

“Obviously, the screen made its debut on Saturday and we were impressed at what it can do.

“We would like to thank McKendry Fabrications for making the structure which the screen sits on and Kyle Electrical Services for making it all possible.”

Clement also explained about the benefits the screen will bring to the club in the months and years ahead.

“Just imagine a Smart TV in your living room and all that it does – we can do this and more,” he continued.

“We can show football games, historic clips and interviews, plus so much more. It’s amazing what this screen can do, and most of all, we can generate a substantial amount of money through sponsorship which helps the club.

“As you saw on Saturday, we will have team line-ups, match details, names of sponsors and mascots, as well as a bit of nostalgia at every home game as we will have a match host.”
