SKIPPER Stephen O’Donnell spoke to the club’s media channel after making his first start of the season last night…

The defender completed 90 minutes as he helped the Bannsiders reach the second round of the BetMcLean Cup after a 4-0 win against Dergview.

O’Donnell remarked that it has been a frustrating summer trying to get back to full fitness but heaped praise on the club’s medical staff and U20’s for their support.

The 30-year-old also commented on playing beside Kieran Farren and looks ahead to this weekend’s fixture against Glentoran.
