The defender made his first league start of 2019 after a knee injury and helped the Stripes keep a clean sheet as second-half goals from Eoin Bradley and Ben Doherty earned the win.

The 26-year-old was full of praise for his team-mates for responding to missing two penalties and going on to win the game.

O’Donnell also thanked boss Rodney McAree and club physio Alan Millar for helping his return from injury.
