COLERAINE FC can announce that midfielder Martin Smith has departed the club and joined League Two side Swindon Town…
The Englishman joined the Bannsiders in October 2017 on a short-term deal and went on to make 27 appearances, scoring two goals in the process.
Smith helped Coleraine clinch a spot in Europe, as well as being an used substitute in the recent Irish Cup success against Cliftonville.
Coleraine manager Oran Kearney passed on his best wishes to Martin and hopes he can hit the ground running at The Robins.
“I’m sure that Martin will relish the opportunity of playing in England again,” Kearney said.
“He is a top man and was a likeable character around the changing room.
“I’m sure the fans, the players and everyone connected with the club wish Martin the best of luck at Swindon.”
Everyone at Coleraine FC would like to thank Martin for his contribution during his time here and wish him the best of luck in the next chapter of his footballing career.
