The Bannsiders stretched their lead at the top of the Danske Bank Premiership to five points after goals from Gareth McConaghie (2), Josh Carson & Smith.

The Englishman was quick to heap praise on his team-mates as they bounced back from last weekend’s defeat to Linfield. Smith stressed that the players wanted a full 90 minute performance after their sluggish first-half against the Blues.

The former Sunderland trainee admitted he was delighted to score his first goal for the Stripes and is looking forward to the clash against Crusaders this Saturday.
