Starting to look like ourselves – O’Donnell

STEPHEN O’Donnell says that developments throughout yesterday’s draw against Dungannon Swifts meant a point was probably a good day’s work for the Bannsiders…

The Stripes had a point to show for their efforts after Matthew Shevlin’s opener – after Stephen Lowry’s dismissal on the half-hour mark – was cancelled out by Andy Mitchell’s equaliser with ten minutes to go.

O’Donnell stated that whilst the target was to win the game, the Bannsiders had to dig in for over an hour with ten men as they edge closer to securing top-six status for the post-split fixtures.

The skipper said it was pleasing to dig Lowry “out of a hole” and that the changing room deserves credit for bouncing back after a frustrating season to almost being assured of a top-six place.
