COLERAINE FC is delighted to announce that Aaron Traynor has signed a two-year contract extension…

The new deal will see the full-back remain at The Showgrounds until the end of the 2022-23 season.

After joining the club from Warrenpoint Town in May 2017, the 30-year-old has lifted the Irish Cup and League Cup, as well as featuring in Europe on four occasions.

In total, the ex-Lisburn Distillery and Carrick Rangers ace has made 88 appearances for the club.

Coleraine boss Oran Kearney spoke of his delight at securing the services of ‘one of the best full-backs’ in the Irish League.

“This news is brilliant for everyone involved,” he added.

“Aaron was in the Team of the Year a couple of seasons ago before suffering a terrible injury but he has now returned to where he had been before.

“He is one of the best full-backs in the country and he is a big personality both on and off the pitch.

“We are delighted that Aaron will be here for another three years.”
