COLERAINE media team member Steven Crawford is raising funds for a very worthy cause this month…
The News Letter journalist is walking 11,000 steps every day to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.
Stevie has set a target of £500 and is well on his way to achieving that aim but wants to raise as much as possible for the charity which funds groundbreaking research
“I wanted something to do to keep me active during lockdown and also raise some funds for a worthwhile charity,” he said.
“I found out Prostate Cancer UK has a fundraiser called March the Month.
“Every day during the month of March you walk 11,000 steps, that represents more than 11,000 dads, partners, grandads, sons, brothers, uncles and mates who die from prostate cancer every year.
“It’s a very worthwhile cause and it is also helping me keep fit whilst working from home.
“I set a target of £500 to raise and currently I’m on £410.
“I’d just like to say a massive thank-you to everyone who has so kindly donated to date and also to everyone who has sent me messages of support.
“It has certainly helped me keep going and get out and do my steps!”
