Stripes set to face Derry City

COLERAINE continue their pre-season preparations tomorrow afternoon in a friendly fixture with North West rivals Derry City (KO 1pm)…

The contest will be the Bannsiders’ second in pre-season action so far as they were defeated 1-0 by Glenavon last weekend. A single strike from substitute Stephen Donnelly separated the two sides, but Coleraine will be aiming to return to winning ways against Kenny Shiels’ men. The game is the final swansong before the Bannsiders set off on their European adventure to Serbia and supporters should note that tickets for the home leg are on sale at the club tonight HERE.

The Candystripes come to The Showgrounds in 5th position in the SSE Airtricity Premier Division in what has been a mixed season so far. Derry City are now well into their league campaign and Saturday’s game at the Showgrounds will be a great workout for Oran Kearney’s side. The two sides met in pre-season action last season and a late goal from Eoin Bradley proved to be the match winner.

Admission has been set for £5 adults and £3 concessions. The Social Club will be open from 11:30am and supporters are more than welcome to stay to watch England’s World Cup quarter-final against Sweden at 3pm.

As ever, those unable to attend the game can follow the latest developments via the club’s official Twitter account (@ColeraineFC).
