RUAIDHRI Higgins says the Bannsiders will give Armagh City the utmost respect as he plans to make several changes to his starting line-up this evening…

The Stripes continue their busy schedule in the BetMcLean Cup as the Championship side make their way to the Ballycastle Road.

Coleraine come into the contest on the back of a 5-1 win at home to Glenavon, and their Cup tie against Armagh, is sandwiched between a Saturday assignment at Linfield.

Higgins confirmed that midfielder Stephen Fallon is set to start the game after the former Linfield man has completed his rehabilitation programme following his summer move.

On the task ahead of his side, Higgins stated: “We have to use the squad, we are in a really busy period and certain players deserve an opportunity.

“We’ll definitely freshen it up and give some of our talented, young players an opportunity, as well as those who need a game.

“But we’ll have a really, really strong squad and we want to go deep in this competition.

“Armagh will get our total respect and hopefully we can get ourselves into the next round.”

After making the breakthrough against the Lurgan Blues late on in the first-half through Joel Cooper’s header, Higgins was delighted with the manner of the performance after the break.

He reflected: “It was clinical in the second-half. We played some decent stuff in the first-half but there wasn’t enough speed or intensity in our play.

“We obviously put that across to the players at half-time and demanded more.

“I thought the players were excellent, got after the game in the second-half and were convincing winners in the end.

“It was good for Levi (Ives) to get off the mark and Joel and Matthew (Shevlin) are chipping in regularly which is brilliant.”
