THE Bannsiders’ next big match is on a slightly smaller green playing surface which will test the real skills of the team…

The first-team squad and management staff at The Showgrounds will be put to the test when they play a challenge match against the NI Special Pool team in an open challenge.

The clash on the baize will take place at the Lodge Hotel this Tuesday (November 21) at 9pm.

The challenge had been postponed because of COVID-19 but manager Oran Kearney is hopeful that if it goes to a black ball shoot out – that it won’t last as long as the last penalty shoot out.

However, the NI pool players have been practicing really hard and are up for the challenge.

They believe they are strong favourites as the football team will be in training before the challenge match and could be tired.

According to word on the street, Davy McDaid, Conor McKendry and Stephen O’Donnell are certainties to put points on the Coleraine score board.

All supporters are invited to the Lodge Hotel to see the challenge match and cheer on the Bannsiders or the NI Specials – it’s free to watch and everyone is welcome.
