Swift Visit

COLERAINE will aim to remain at the top of the Danske Bank Premiership as they make the journey to Stangmore Park tomorrow afternoon (KO 3pm)…

Danske Bank Premiership

Overview:

The Bannsiders made it six successive wins in all competitions after a 1-0 victory against Linfield last Saturday, before triumphing 5-1 against Dundela in the BetMcLean League Cup on Tuesday night. The win over Linfield means the Stripes top the Danske Bank Premiership by a solitary point, with a future semi-final fixture in the League Cup also to be added to the calendar. The Swifts will want to bounce back from their 5-0 defeat to Cliftonville last weekend.

Recent meetings:

The two clubs faced each other back in September and the first-half would prove to be a cagey affair as the score remained goalless at the break. However, Coleraine would hit the front through James McLaughlin and then made it 2-0 a minute later as Aaron Jarvis slammed home his first for the club. The floodgates opened as McLaughlin added another three goals to take his tally to four and make it a memorable day on the Ballycastle Road for the striker.

Team News:

Coleraine boss Oran Kearney will once again be without the services of defender Stephen O’Donnell who remains sidelined with a calf injury. However, there is a boost to the squad as Nedas Maciulaitis is available after missing the win against Dundela due to being cup-tied.

Manager’s Thoughts:

“Dungannon will want to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat to Cliftonville,” Kearney said.

“They didn’t play in midweek, unlike ourselves, so that’s why we had to manage the squad to leave a bit in the tank for tomorrow afternoon.

“We will be prepared for another big game.”

Admission:

Admission has been set at £12 adults, £8 concessions.
