COLERAINE FC can confirm that Jamie Glackin will depart the club this summer following the expiry of his contract…

Signed in the 2019 January transfer window, the midfielder made 282 appearances across a seven-and-a-half year stint at The Showgrounds.

Glackin was part of the triumphant BetMcLean Cup winning side in 2020 and played in several rounds of this year’s successful Irish Cup campaign, where he cruelly missed out on the final due to injury.

The Omagh man found the back of the net on 36 occasions, providing a high number of assists along the way, and was one of the first players to commit to full-time football ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Speaking about the difficult decision, Bannsiders boss Ruaidhri Higgins said: “Jamie has given the club phenomenal service.

“He played a big part in our success last season, especially in the first half of the campaign, where he was outstanding. Unfortunately, his second part of the season was disrupted with a couple of injuries.

“Jamie is a great lad, he’s a great person to work with and he’s always conducted himself well.

“He will always be welcome at The Showgrounds and I wish him the very best for the next chapter of his career.”

Glackin said: “I would just like to thank the club for the last seven-and-a-half years which has been thoroughly enjoyable.

“I’d like to thank all my team-mates, managers and coaches that I’ve had during my time at the club.

“I wish the club nothing but the best moving forward.”
