The 30-year-old re-joined the Bannsiders on a three-year deal following a spell with Crusaders.

Beverland insists he is impressed with how far the club has progressed both on and off the pitch since his departure in 2016.

The Ballymoney native believes the club is in a ‘strong position’ to challenge for honours as he looks to add to his Irish League, Irish Cup and County Antrim successes during his stint in North Belfast.

The former Coleraine captain admits he was impressed with the Bannsiders’ European exploits and is relishing competing for his place in the starting eleven.
