“They have been tough wars” – OK

COLERAINE boss Oran Kearney reflected on the ‘trilogy’ of matches against Glentoran as the two sides drew against each other for a third successive game…

Kearney was quick to admit that the real winners of the three matches had been Linfield as they stretched their lead at the summit to eight points, with just three matches remaining.

However, the boss was delighted to see his side leave with a share of the spoils as they came from behind yet again as Stephen Lowry’s deflected effort cancelled out Ruaidhri Donnelly’s opener.

Glentoran had chances to add to their tally after Donnelly’s breakthrough but Kearney was delighted to see his players “hang in there” before Lowry’s strike left the game in a stalemate.

The Bannsiders now have a break for 11 days and Kearney hopes this will help re-energise his troops before they face Crusaders on May 15.
