We dug in for a point – OK

ORAN Kearney praised the Bannsiders’ “resilience” as they left Seaview with a hard-earned point yesterday afternoon…

Ultimately, the game was settled by two converted penalties in either half as Josh Carson made no mistake for Coleraine and Jordan Forsythe was successful for the hosts.

Kearney believes his side were more than worthy of securing a point from the game and that they dug-in to leave with a share of the spoils after Lyndon Kane’s dismissal for Crusaders’ penalty.

The Coleraine chief acknowledged that his side might have gone on to lose that game earlier in the season and praised the visiting support for their backing to get the squad over the line.

Kearney will be without Kane next weekend as the Stripes face Dungannon Swifts next weekend, knowing that a win will secure a top-six place in the standings.
