RUAIDHRI Higgins was pleased to see his side return to winning ways after a 2-0 success at Crusaders yesterday afternoon…

Goals from Jamie Glackin and Jamie McGonigle allowed the Bannsiders to pick up all three points at the north Belfast venue.

Higgins alluded to his side’s bright start at Seaview and how he was disappointed that they didn’t go in further in front after Glackin’s 16th-minute opener.

The manager conceded that the second-half was “less vintage” but that they didn’t give up any chances as they registered a clean sheet.

Higgins paid special praise in particular for goalscorer McGonigle who has been absent through injury in recent weeks, as well as looking ahead to Tuesday night’s BetMcLean Cup tie at Moyola Park.
