“We found a way to win” – OK

COLERAINE boss Oran Kearney spoke to the club’s media channel for the final time this season as the Bannsiders clinched a 2-1 victory against Larne…

After the Bannsiders were unable to win the Gibson Cup due to the draw against Linfield last Tuesday night, Kearney admits the challenge was given to his players to finish as high up in the league as possible.

Kearney remarked that the game was always going to have a different feel to it due to Larne fielding an inexperienced team but the boss was pleased to his side finding a way to win and that finishing second in the Danske Bank Premiership was “a hell of a shift” from his players.

The boss recapped on “a rollercoaster” of a season that saw his squad recover from an inconsistent start to the campaign to qualify for Europe for a fourth time in five years.

Kearney revealed that his squad will have three weeks off before returning to training ahead of the Europa Conference League fixtures, as well as thanking fans for being part of the journey in spirit.
