ORAN Kearney praised his players for the coming off the highs of beating Linfield by registering a 2-0 away win at Newry City…

First-half goals from Conor McKendry and Matthew Shevlin earned the Stripes all three points to pick-up back-to-back wins in the Sports Direct Premiership.

Kearney remarked that the adrenaline of playing under the lights and on a quick pitch against Linfield was the opposite to the environment at Newry but that his players adjusted accordingly to walk away with the victory.

The gaffer also outlined that the goals were “synonymous” with both players as McKendry’s goal was from distance and Shevlin’s a close-range header.

Kearney was pleased to see another clean sheet being registered and commented what is going to happen over the next two weeks.
