“We got a performance” – OK

COLERAINE boss Oran Kearney reflected on a successful afternoon for his side as they defeated Portadown at The Showgrounds…

After losing back-to-back games in the Danske Bank Premiership, the hosts knew they needed to return to winning ways and Kearney was pleased with his side’s clinical display in front of goal and the manner of the performance.

Kearney remarked that the changing room was “hurting” after recent results but they’ve worked as hard as possible to turn the tide and that showed in the performance.

The starting line-up saw a change of shape and Kearney acknowledged that this was due to how Niall Currie usually sets his side up, as well as giving his troops the best possible chance to pick up all three points.

The Stripes were also able to give playing time to several members of the squad just after the hour mark which pleased Kearney, who also spoke ahead of the BetMcLean Cup tie against Dungannon Swifts on Tuesday night.
