“We had to prove ourselves” – OK

COLERAINE boss Oran Kearney was pleased with his side’s performance as they registered a 2-0 win against Carrick Rangers…

The Bannsiders moved up to third spot in the Danske Bank Premiership as two strikes from Curtis Allen were enough to register all three points.

Kearney acknowledged that it was always going to be a difficult game as Carrick were in their best form of the season and that his side had “a big spring” in their step after the interval.

The game was subject to a pitch inspection at 4pm but Kearney insists he always prepares for the game to go ahead and was full of praise for Martin Gallagher who kept a clean sheet.

Coleraine now face Warrenpoint Town at The Showgrounds on Saturday and the boss admits he may have to freshen things up yet again.
