CONOR Loughrey spoke to Coleraine TV after the Bannsiders ran out 4-1 victors against Portadown at Shamrock Park…

Goals from Will Patching (2), Matthew Shevlin and Joel Cooper secured away day joy for the Bannsiders in County Armagh.

Loughrey conceded that the Stripes weren’t at their “fluent best” in the opening 45 minutes but were delighted to go ahead before the interval as Patching converted from the spot following a handball.

The assistant coach remarked how they made a few tweaks at half-time which paid dividends as Shevlin, Cooper and Patching yet again found the back of the net.

Loughrey spoke about all four goals – which included eye-catching finishes from Cooper and Patching – and how pleasing it was to get playing time for several members of the squad.

However, he hopes losing a clean sheet so late on will prove to be “a one-off” as James Teelan bagged a consolation goal for the Ports.
