“We want to keep the tie alive” – OK

COLERAINE manager Oran Kearney and defender Lyndon Kane spoke to the press ahead of tomorrow’s Europa Conference League clash against FK Velez Mostar…

The Bannsiders kick-start their 2021/22 campaign with a clash in Bosnia tomorrow evening (KO 7:30pm).

Kearney acknowledged that his side are looking forward to the double header against the ‘Rodeni’ and that playing against teams from different countries is just reward for qualifying for European competition.

The boss insists the objective is to get through to the next round and remarked on last season’s memorable Europa League run, as well as the importance of keeping the tie alive of next week’s second leg at Mourneview Park on July 15.

Kane remarked that the hard work and graft endured last season makes it all worthwhile when competing on the European stage and he has eyes set on securing a positive result.
