Welcome Wallace

COLERAINE FC is pleased to announce the signing of Jake Wallace…

The defender becomes our third arrival of the summer transfer window.

The Portstewart native has been training with the Bannsiders since his release from Fleetwood Town in the summer.

The 19-year-old made the move to the League One side after impressing for Glentoran in 2020, where he also spent time on loan at Northern Pemier League side Colne.

Wallace has also appeared in several pre-season games as a Trialist so far and will add to the Bannsiders’ ranks for the upcoming campaign.

“Jake was keen to come on board after his release by Fleetwood, where he had a bad injury and things probably just didn’t go the way he would have wanted there,” boss Oran Kearney said.

“However, he has trained with us and done extremely well in both the sessions and pre-season matches.

“It’s been a frustrating few years for him and he is looking forward to getting out on the pitch again and enjoying his football.

“He is a local lad which is vitally important and we are eager to continue working with him.”

The Club can confirm that Wallace will wear the number 23 shirt.
