Whiteside makes loan switch

COLERAINE FC can confirm that Andrew Whiteside has joined Tobermore United on loan until the end of the season…

The midfielder was promoted to the first-team squad this season and made his debut against Warrenpoint Town back in August.

In total, Andrew has made four appearances for the first-team in all competitions this campaign.

Speaking about the temporary switch, boss Rodney McAree believes the move will help aid Whiteside’s development.

“It is a good move for Andy as getting game time is always important,” he said.

“He has been involved with the first-team all season but nothing beats competitive action.

“We will be monitoring his progress very closely and he will return for pre-season.”
