LYNDON Kane spoke to the media ahead of Sunday’s trip to Larne and remarked it’s a relief to be back playing…

The defender returned after a nine-week absence to help Coleraine beat Dungannon Swifts last weekend.

The Coleraine native missed the midweek defeat to Crusaders in the BetMcLean Cup due to precaution and acknowledged that the squad are disappointed to exit the competition.

However, he stated that the Bannsiders are eager to maintain their good run of form in the Premiership and heaped praise on Matthew Shevlin after the striker has scored six goals in his last three games.

Kane discussed his return to the first-team squad and acknowledged that Larne’s European commitments will have no bearing on Sunday’s game due to the quality and depth of their squad.
