COREY Smith says he hopes to keep impressing after getting the nod to start in last weekend’s draw against Glenavon…

Speaking in the pre-match press conference for the upcoming game against Portadown, the summer arrival from Larne said the draw at Mourneview Park felt like a defeat after the Bannsiders were pegged back late on.

The 19-year-old remarked how the squad have to learn from that setback and that games are played right through until the full-time whistle.

The ex-Dungannon Swifts ace also spoke about being given the chance to impress in recent games and how he is learning from the likes of Matthew Shevlin, Jamie McGonigle and Rhyss Campbell.
