COLERAINE FC is extremely delighted to announce that Lyndon Kane has agreed terms on a new contract at The Showgrounds…
The fresh deal will see Lyndon remain with the Bannsiders until the end of the 2027/28 campaign, with the club holding the potential of triggering another year.
Kane, who is the longest-serving player at the club and celebrated his testimonial during the 2023/24 campaign, has amassed almost 400 appearances to date for his boyhood club.
That tenure has yielded success in the Irish Cup and League Cup, as well as representing the club on the European stage.
As well as his importance on the pitch, Lyndon has become a fantastic ambassador for the club within the local community, meaning he is well-respected figure both inside and outside The Showgrounds.
Speaking about the defender’s new deal, Coleraine boss Ruaidhri Higgins said: “Lyndon’s form this season has been at a very high level.
“He’s gone into the final year of his contract and it was important that we extended it because he’s very highly thought of on and off the pitch here.
“He has shown an unbelievable loyalty to Coleraine, this is his club and he can relate to every single one of our supporters in the stands. It’s really important that we have that identity.
“Lyndon leads the way in that regard and I think he is a great influence on our younger local players.”
