COLERAINE are away from home for the second week running as the Bannsiders face Crusaders at Seaview tomorrow afternoon (KO 3pm)…

BOYLE SPORTS PREMIERSHIP

Overview:

Coleraine made it three Premiership victories in a row last Friday night after a remarkable comeback victory against Larne at Inver Park. The Bannsiders found themselves two goals behind with an hour on the clock but rallied to take all three points as Joel Cooper bagged a brace, alongside Matthew Shevlin’s header. Ruaidhri Higgins’ men were not involved in the BetMcLean Cup through the week after receiving a bye due to their European exploits in the summer.

Crusaders were in BetMcLean Cup action on Wednesday night but suffered a 5-2 extra-time loss to Warrenpoint Town at Milltown. The Crues had led 2-1 with ten men following Thomas Maguire’s dismissal but the ‘Point equalised and then secured their passage through to the second round following three strikes in the extra 30 minutes. Declan Caddell’s men were beaten by Ballymena United in the Premiership last weekend and currently find themselves 7th in the table.

Previous Meetings:

Coleraine and Crusaders met each other in the BOYLE Sports Premiership back in September.

  • September 5, 2026 (BSP) – Coleraine 4 (Devine ‘2 mins & ’52 mins, Henderson ‘5 mins, Shevlin ‘8 mins); Crusaders 1 (Mulholland ’83 mins)

Manager’s Thoughts:

“The players, as you would expect, are in fantastic spirits,” Higgins said.

“Training has been bubbly and lively this week, and there’s been good noise around the place.

“Crusaders’ home form this year has been much improved and as always, they’ve got quality attacking players.

“We need to be on the ball with that and deal with it but we know there’s real quality in our squad and we will need it this weekend.”

Officials:

The match referee will be Shane Andrews.

The assistant referees are Brian Wilson and Gavin Hegarty.

Louise Thompson has been selected as the fourth official.
