COLERAINE FC can confirm that talented youngster Oliver Devlin has signed forms on his first professional contract…
The 17-year-old – who made his senior debut in Tuesday night’s North-West Senior Cup win against Newbuildings United – has signed a long-term deal at The Showgrounds.
Devlin joined the Bannsiders in the summer from Derry City and has impressed coaches across all the different age groups he has been involved in so far.
The former Trojans trainee was named in the matchday panel in the Sports Direct Premiership for the first time today and was used from the bench during the victory against Crusaders at Seaview.
Speaking about the development, first-team boss Ruaidhri Higgins said: “Ollie has just turned 17 but it’s pretty obvious that he’s a talented young player.
“All the staff and all the first-team players have really bought into him.
“He suits how we want to play here and we are delighted that he’s signed a long-term contract with the club.
“He made his debut in the Premiership earlier today and hopefully we will see more appearances between now and the end of the season.
“We will make sure we will try and develop him properly.”
