Pro forms for Tosh

COLERAINE FC is pleased to announce that Lewis Tosh has signed his first professional contract with the club…

The left-back, who hails from the town, made his first-team debut in the North-West Cup earlier last season before making starts against Warrenpoint Town and Larne in the Danske Bank Premiership.

The Northern Ireland youth international has been at the club for the last nine years and will represent County Londonderry at this summer’s SuperCup NI tournament.

The 17-year-old will spend the 2022/23 on loan at Limavady United in a move that Oran Kearney believes benefits all parties.

“Lewis has done all the right things so far but he needs more games at senior level,” he said.

“The challenge for Lewis and every other young player is about dislodging first-team players and the first step in that is by going out and getting experience.

“Men’s football will certainly help with that and Andy Law has done a really good job at Limavady United.

“They pushed for the league last season and I’m sure they will want to go for it again this time around, so it will be a great experience for Lewis to be in and around that.”

Everyone at Coleraine FC wishes Lewis well for the season ahead.
