DEAN Shiels spoke to Coleraine TV after the Bannsiders picked up a 1-0 victory against Portadown at The Showgrounds…

A second-half effort from Dylan Boyle proved to be the difference as Coleraine secured their top-six status for the post-split schedule.

Shiels commented on the game in general and stated how after a sluggish start, his side started to control proceedings and how they were defensively sound throughout the 90 minutes.

The head coach also credited Boyle – not only for his goal – but his overall performance and labelled the midfielder as the “heartbeat” of the Coleraine midfield.

The Bannsiders aren’t in action until Tuesday, April 1 and Shiels said the players want to finish the season as best as they can.
