COLERAINE FC is delighted to announce the signing of Gareth Deane from Linfield…
The goalkeeper has put pen-to-paper on a short-term loan deal that will see the ex-QPR trainee cover the Bannsiders’ Europa League schedule, and then with a view of making a permanent move.
The 26-year-old has made 52 appearances for the Blues and has lifted the Danske Bank Premiership on three occasions, as well as the Irish Cup and League Cup.
Deane also had a spell on loan with Carrick Rangers during the 2013/14 campaign.
Speaking to colerainefc.com, boss Oran Kearney highlighted Deane’s big game experience.
“It is effectively a loan deal throughout August and then we will have a discussion about making the move a permanent one,” he said.
“Gareth coming here helps us through our European schedule and then we will have a discussion after that.
“Gareth has been at Linfield a long time and has been unlucky with some freakish injuries, but he has played in a lot of big games and has plenty of quality.”
The Club can confirm that Deane will wear the number 1 shirt.
