McLaughlin pens contract extension

COLERAINE FC is delighted to announce that James McLaughlin has penned a one-year contract extension with the club…

The striker – who has suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury and is out for the upcoming campaign – will remain at the Bannsiders until the end of the 2018-19 season.

The 27-year-old has scored 33 goals in 77 games since joining the Stripes in 2015, and boss Kearney is delighted that the marksman has pledged his future with the club.

“It is good for both James and the club that he has agreed this extension,” Kearney told colerainefc.com

“Everyone knows James has a long road ahead of him with recovery, but we will ensure he has the best rehab work.

“We would never turn our backs on a player and we are looking forward to seeing James back on the pitch.

“James is a local player who enjoys playing for the club and his work and goals over the last two years has been brilliant.”
