Quartet Called-Up

COLERAINE FC extends its well wishes to four players who have been called-up to the Northern Ireland Schools Under 18 team…

Alex Henderson, Lewis Tosh, Jack McFeely and Patrick Kelly have been named in the squad with the U18’s beginning their international season next week with a tour to Jersey for two international matches.

This is a big year for the Under 18 team as they seek to retain the Centenary Shield which was won in style in 2019.

This was the last time that the competition was completed having been postponed for the past two years due to the pandemic.

Northern Ireland Under 18 Schoolboy manager Frankie Wilson explained “Games against Jersey are very useful as they give the boys their first taste of international football and are ideal preparation for the Centenary Shield campaign.”

In the Centenary Shield Northern Ireland will be away to Scotland on 3 March. Home matches against Wales and England at The Blanchflower Stadium on 10 March and 25 March follow before the final game away to the Republic of Ireland on 31 March.

Coleraine FC congratulates the quartet for their call-up and wishes them well.
