The Stripes would leave Warden Street empty handed as a brace from Noah Stewart and Alexander Gawne’s thunderbolt sealed the win after Matthew Shevlin’s first-half dismissal.

Kearney remarked how early opportunities were wasted by his side before Shevlin’s red card and how a similar incident involving Ballymena United goalkeeper Sean O’Neill wasn’t acted upon.

Kearney acknowledged he doesn’t know how many games Shevlin will be on the sidelines for ahead of next Saturday’s clash against Cliftonville.
