Salute to Stevie

COLERAINE FC places on record its thanks to Stevie McCann as he steps down from his role as the club’s General Manager and Secretary…

Stevie initially joined the club as a consultant in 2016 and went on to become the club’s General Manager and Secretary before leaving for a new position elsewhere at the end of last month.

During his time at The Showgrounds, Stevie worked tirelessly on administrative matters, licencing requirements, club business and other tasks to a high standard.

Stevie has also been involved with the youth set-up since its inception and will still continue to coach the U14 NIBFA squad.

Furthermore, the Club is delighted that Stevie will continue to help the club when needed on a freelance basis.

Coleraine Chairman, Colin McKendry, paid tribute to Stevie for his “professionalism” across a variety of tasks.

“We would like to thank Stevie for everything he has done for the club,” he said.

“He has worked hard throughout his numerous roles at the club and we are delighted that he will still provide his expertise when needed.

“Stevie’s professionalism over the last five years shouldn’t be forgotten and I’m pleased that he won’t be a stranger at The Showgrounds.

“We wish him well in his new venture.”

As one chapter closes, another opens as the Club can confirm Laura Lagan as the new Secretary.

The Kilrea native has been involved with the Bannsiders before after volunteering her services doing administration and front desk work for the Soccer School every Saturday for three years.

We wish Laura every success in her new role and she can be contacted via email (secretary@colerainefc.com) and telephone (07938486941).
