Kearney recognised the importance of earning all three points by any means necessary and was pleased to see the energy levels by his squad.

In front of a bumper crowd at The Showgrounds, Kearney insists he wants to bring a buzz back to the club and hopes that many of those who attended will return in the future.

The Bannsiders face Dundela in the quarter-final of the BetMcLean League Cup on Tuesday night and Kearney is fully aware of their qualities after beating Larne in the previous round.
