A frustrating day for OK

COLERAINE manager Oran Kearney was frustrated that his side failed to pocket all three points from yesterday’s clash against Glenavon…

The boss admitted that they relied on ‘keeper Gareth Deane to keep the scores level at the break but was pleased with the second-half performance that saw both Eoin Bradley and Stewart Nixon being denied by the post.

There was a moment of controversy just after the hour mark as Glenavon stopper Craig Hyland was booked for bringing down Curtis Allen outside the area, with Kearney puzzled as to how a red card wasn’t produced for denying a goal scoring opportunity.

The Bannsiders were without the services of Ben Doherty and Jamie Glackin for the fixture and Kearney admits he isn’t sure if either player will be available in the coming weeks.

Coleraine are next in action against Linfield on Wednesday night and Kearney knows his players will need to produce a top performance against the leaders if they are to record a positive result.
