Bradley delighted to get on the score sheet

COLERAINE striker Eoin Bradley shares his thoughts after coming off the bench to help the Bannsiders claim a 1-0 win against Dungannon Swifts…

With the match goalless, Bradley was introduced on the hour mark to devastating affect as the striker chipped the ball over Andy Coleman for a valuable three points.

“I’m delighted to bag a goal and get all three points,” Bradley said.

“I felt that I could make a difference if I was introduced and thankfully that was the case.

“We managed the game out and it could prove to be a vital victory.”

Bradley admits he didn’t like starting the match on the bench, but has hailed the strength of the squad at The Showgrounds as Oran Kearney named a strong bench.

“I wasn’t happy being on the bench,” Bradley added.

“I understand why Oran made that decision as I’m not 100% fit and the likes of Stephen Dooley and Brad Lyons are flying.

“It’s a squad game and Oran said before the match that the bench was the strongest he’s had at the club, so that bodes well for the rest of the season.

“The last couple of weeks we haven’t been at our best bar the game against Lisburn Distillery.

“We are grinding out results and that shows we have a good team spirit and togetherness, so long may that continue.”

The Bannsiders welcome Crusaders to the Ballycastle Road next weekend and Bradley is expecting a fantastic atmosphere which the squad will relish.

“It was really all about the three points as no club finds it easy coming here,” Bradley continued.

“We knew that was going to be the case beforehand, but we just turn our attentions to Crusaders.

“We’re a point behind them but it makes for a special occasion next week.

“Those are the games you want to play in and you’d rather play top-of-the-table clashes rather than at the bottom of the table.

“There will be a massive crowd there and the players will look forward to it.”
